Applications
With FOREX°smart Alcan Airex launched the first lightweight foam sheet for outdoor advertising. The very lightweight though extremely rigid and stiff all plastic sheet material has a core of expanded polystyrene and surfaces of solid polystyrene. Its extremely white surface guarantees a perfect substrate for direct to substrate digital printing with UV curing inks as well as with solvent based inks. Due to its very good weathering properties FOREX°smart can be used for outdoor applications up to two years - even printed. A perfect substrate for the advertising industry and wherever time is crucial: print - cut to size - install - ready. FOREX°smart saves you time, is easy to install and shows extremely fresh colours when printed.
In addition FOREX°smart is used for screen-printing applications such as event marketing, promotion campaigns and high-quality signage. (As from) now FOREX°smart is available not only in 10 mm thick but in 5 mm thick as well!
History
FOREX°smart has been presented for he first time at the VISCOM in September 2005 in Düsseldorf, Germany. FOREX°smart is a genuine innovation on the sign board market and fills a gap in the market offering in a smart way. It offers a valid answer to some of the most important requirements of the European sign making community at the beginning of the 21st century, that is to say, the demand for a good valued lightweight but rigid panel.
